Create an electricity battery with lemons

The batteries consist of two different metals in suspension in an acid solution. Copper and zinc work well as metals and the citric acid content of a lemon will provide the acid solution. The zinc nail and the copper coin are called electrodes and the lemon juice is called electrolyte.

Materials: lemons, coins, copper wire, a knife, a multimeter (a device used to measure electrical current) and some LEDs. How to do it: With a knife, we will make a cut at the two ends of the lemon. On the one hand we will nail the screw and on the other the coin. Then we will connect everything, and we will have obtained an electric battery made with a lemon. With this we will achieve almost a 1 volt potential. It is not much, but if we put two lemons, we will have almost 2 volts of power and if we continue experimenting with more lemons we will obtain more and more strength. If we join several lemons with copper wires, we can even turn on an LED.
