Assistive Technology

Development of Assistive Technologies is part of the mission of Pragma Engineering: it means a committment in collaborate with health agencies, not profit associations, firms and research centres.

Our experience is mainly devoted in development of custom technological aids for accessing to IT equipments, personal communication purposes and specific functions (environmental control, workplace..). Normally this kind of problems includes the adaptation to devices already in use by part of the person or his/her relatives. We have a multi-year collaboration with:

  • Università degli Studi del Molise

An innovative application of assistive technologies concept is related to the development of new kind of devices allowing tele-rehabilitation exercises : this application has already been successfully applied in Belgium, Spain and Italy for patients who suffered multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and stroke.

Such successful application has been supported by the EU funded projects IST-HCAD and eTen-Hellodoc. The developed systems are now proposed by means of EU trademark
